The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with deep experience in microcontrollers and C programming to lead the embedded software team. You’ll drive architecture and development for the software that powers our electric road systems and take ownership of embedded platform strategy, while mentoring junior developers and collaborating closely with hardware, mechanical, and test teams.
What You’ll Do
Lead the development of embedded systems for our charging infrastructure
Design, implement, and optimize real-time firmware in C for resource-constrained devices
Define and maintain software architecture, coding standards, and development processes
Guide and mentor a team of embedded developers
Collaborate with electronics engineers and test engineers to ensure robust integration and operation in real-world environments
Take part in product and system-level decision-making
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Highly experienced in C programming for real-time embedded systems
Strong knowledge of embedded systems architecture and firmware development for microcontrollers.
Demonstrated leadership in embedded development projects or teams
Willingness to work on-site in Lund
Nice to Have
Experience with STM32 MCUs
Experience with low-level debugging, system bring-up, and hardware validation
Knowledge of safety-critical or automotive standards
Experience working with power electronics or charging systems
